RUAS: Showcasing the best of Ulster Beef & Lamb

The best beef and lamb in Ulster!

This part of the year always comes around so quickly. The 5th Royal Ulster Beef & Lamb Championships will take place on Tuesday 22nd November 2022 at Eikon Exhibition Centre, Balmoral Park, Lisburn.

Each year without fail we make a huge effort to attend the show and sale, it's been a McAlister family tradition for the best part of the last century. These farming roots are key to what we offer today with the show highlighting the best of the best in Ulster farming. We are proud to support the show and local farmers and producers.

In 2021 the hotly contested Housewife’s Champion was a smashing British Blue sired steer (Imperial out of a Lim x Dam) and brought out by Jack Smyth, Newtownstewart, Co. Tyrone This lovely steer weighed in at 550kgs was subsequently purchased by Peita McAllister for The Morning Star restaurant, Belfast

In 2018 The Supreme Champion of the Show was exhibited by the Smyth family from Newtownstewart in Co. Tyrone. The Limousin cross heifer weighed in at 640kg. It was purchased by the Morning Star bar in Belfast.

We are looking forward to another fantastic show and sale. Keep an eye on socials for features.
